Flu Vaccination 20/21

This year, due to COVID-19 we will be running our flu clinics at a different location to ensure that we keep you and our staff safe and well.  We will not be running a drop in clinic and all flu jabs will be given on an appointment only basis.

We will be partnering with WINGATE MEDICAL CENTRE as their building has been identified as (one of two building as) being the most appropriate to host this year’s flu clinics during the global pandemic. You will be seen and vaccinated by a GP or Nurse from our practice.

We are planning to run the flu clinics during Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings (7pm – 9pm) and on selected Saturdays (9am – 4.30pm) during October and November 2020. Further dates will be released soon.

If you are eligible to receive a flu jab you will be contacted by SMS, letter and/or telephone with further information on how to book your appointment.  Please do not contact the practice until we contact you with further information.

Some Key Messages:

  1. It is vital that you DO NOT attend for vaccination if you or a member of your household currently has symptoms of COVID-19 or if you are self-isolating due to contact with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19.
  2. You will be required to wear a face covering when attending your flu appointment unless you are under 11 years old or are unable to tolerate a face covering because of a medical condition or a disability
  3. You will be required to maintain a 2 metre distance between people whilst you are waiting to receive the flu vaccination both outside and inside the vaccination site.
