The NHS Health Check is for patients between the age of 40 and 74 years with no pre-existing cardiovascular health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension) etc.
In Knowsley there are far too many people who die or suffer from either a heart attack or a stroke and in the vast majority of cases, both conditions are preventable.
The appointment is only 30 minutes in duration and could literally save your life! We ask that all patients have their bloods taken at least 1 week prior to their appointment as these results will help identify the future risk of heart attack or stroke.
